Sri Narasingha Jayanti Celebrations at New Badarinatha Asrama
Residents and guests celebrated the advent of Lord Narasinghadeva on 26th May at the New Badarinatha Asrama in Vermont. The program commenced at 6:30 in the evening with bhajanas led by Govardhana Dasa, followed by a class by H.H. Bhakti Vijnana Giri Maharaja. Maharaja spoke on the appearance
of Lord Narasinghadeva according to the Bhagavatam and various Puranic sources, and the iconography of different Deities of the Lord.
There was an abhiseka of the presiding Sri-Vigraha of Yoga-Narasingha and maha-arati at twilight – the auspicious time that Narasinghadeva appeared from the pillar to save His devotee Prahlada and kill the evil Daitya-king, Hiranyakasipu. All the devotees honored a prasadam feast after the temple program.
Sri Narasingha Jayanti Mahotsava at Govindaji Gardens
Gurukula students and devotees celebrated the auspicious appearance of Lord Narasinghadeva at Govindaji Gardens on 26th May. Kesava Dasa, Kunjabihari Dasa, Kirtanananda Dasa and Satyaraja Dasa bathed the personal Deity of Srila Narasingha Maharaja, Sri Vira-Narasingha, with pancamrta and
offered puspanjali and maha-arati to the Lord.
New
Gosala Foundation Completed
The foundation for a new gosala at Govindaji Gardens has been completed.
Sriman Nanda Kisora Dasa is overlooking the project which will have the
capacity of one-hundred cows. The first stage, to house forty cows, will
be finished by the end of June.
Pejavara
Svami visits Govindaji Gardens
Recently, H.H. Visvesa Tirtha Svamiji of Pejavara
Matha, Udupi made a short visit to Govindaji Gardens.
Svamiji took darsana of the Deities of Sri
Sri Gauranga-Radha-Madhava, took tirtham and
satari and spoke with Tridandi Svami B.A. Avadhuta
Maharaja.
Pejavara Svamiji plans to build a pathasala (Vedic school) near to the asrama in the near future.
Gaura Purnima Celebrations at Govindaji Gardens
On Gaura Purnima, the devotees of Govindaji Gardens led by Sriman Nanda Kisora Dasa observed the advent of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Many devotees and members came from Mysore and Bangalore to take part in the festival and enthusiastically chanted kirtana in praise of the Lord.
The Deity of Mahaprabhu was bathed in pancamrta to the accompaniment of Vedic mantras chanted by the resident gurukula students and a maha-arati was offered.
Later, the devotees watched the full moon rise over the Kaveri River and remembered Mahaprabhu’s journey to South India in the year 1510. All the devotees and guests then honored maha-prasadam, offered to Lord
Caitanya.
Gaura Purnima Celebrations at New Badarinatha Asrama
On march 28th, Srila Bhakti Gaurava Narasingha Maharaja led the devotees at New Badarinatha Asrama (Vermont, U.S.A.) in celebrating the divine appearance of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
In the morning Srila Narasingha Maharaja spoke on the topic of Mahaprabhu’s advent and read from Srila Sridhara Maharaja’s book 'The Golden Volcano of Divine Love.'
After the class, all the devotees in the community busied themselves in various services including cooking preparations or the evening bhoga offering, decorating the temple and preparing the abhiseka paraphernalia.
This Gaura Purnima festival was an eventful one for the devotees
of New Badarinatha because of the installation of the gold Deities of Sri Sri Gandharvika-Kanaka Govindasundara.
In the late afternoon, Govardhana Dasa led the devotees in bhajanas glorifying Mahaprabhu, then Srila Narasingha Maharaja chanted from Srila Sridhara Maharaja's 'Sri Prema Dhama Deva Stotram.'
The new Deities were then unveiled and bathed along with the Deity of Caitanya Mahaprabhu. The Deities were first bathed in gold powder and then with pancamrta and rose-water.
Srila Narasingha Maharaja then performed the prana-pratisthapana and the Deities were dressed and ornamented by Sripada Visnu Maharaja.
After the bhoga offering, the devotees sang the gaura-arati and then went outside to take darsana of the full-moon heralding the 516th year of Mahaprabhu’s appearance. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's mahaprasadam was then honored by all.

H. Guru Prasad Swami Visits
In January 2002, Guru Prasad Swami, Iskcon GBC and Guru, visited Govindaji
Gardens, Sri Narasingha Chaitanya Matha for several days. Maharaja had
a number of philosophical discussions with Swami B. G. Narasingha and
the resident devotees.

to Govindaji Gardens by Sripada Jayadvaita Maharaja
His Holiness Jayadvaita Maharaja recently visited Srila Narasingha Maharaja
at Govindaji Gardens. Maharajaspoke at length with Srila Narasingha Maharaja
of his appreciation for the new asrama publication ‘Follow the Angels’
by Srila Sridhara Maharaja.
Sripada
Jayadvaita Maharaja served as English editor for many of Srila Prabhupada’s
books and was in charge of Back to Godhead magazine for many years.
