In this talk on the disappearance day of Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (November 3rd, 2016), Swami Narasingha explains the importance of observing the viraha-mahotsava (an observance in separation). He emphasises the acarya’s bhajan-kutir over the samadhi, as this is where the acarya is performing eternal service, although both are respected. He also explains what is divine revelation and how it comes down to the qualified devotee. The qualified Vaisnava may speak or write something that was divinely inspired, that they had never heard before themselves.
Swami Vishnu reads the mangalacarana of Gitara-gana by Srila Prabhupada from the book “A Shower of Divine Compassion”. He discusses how we are dependent on mercy and that without divine grace descending we are nothing and nowhere.
Swami Narasingha then describes how very high caliber Vaisnavas may have the capacity to discuss many high topics, but it is ultimately according to the audience to whom they speak.
