Here Srila Sridhara Maharaja explains that our substantial connection is with sraddha (faith). Knowledge on it’s own lands us in the realm of doubt, suspicion and fear - where one can be suspened in inaction from fear of being cheated. We are seeking the ultimate shelter of Sraddha-devi in whose company knowledge has no place. Illiteracy and lack of knowledge are no obstacles for one who has a real taste and real contact with sraddha.
